Steam Turbine and Compressor Monitoring in Ammonia Plants

Ammonia plants have compressors for various gaseous products required by ammonia and urea production processes. Many Ammonia plants use steam turbines to drive these compressors as well as driving forced or induced-draft fans, boiler feed-water pumps, air compressors, blowers, and other rotating equipment. Steam turbines are dependable, low-maintenance, and provide a continuous operation option for many plants. Excess steam from an ammonia plant can be exported for use to other units as well.
