The UL Approved ECT-DIN 2-Wire Isolator is now available in a narrow 15mm aluminum housing. The thinner ECT-DIN 2-Wire Isolator with 15mm width retains the same General and Hazardous area approvals as the rest of the ECT family of isolators. It also has the same RFI/EMI protection and -40°C to 85°C operating temperature range. The ECT-DIN 2-Wire Isolator can be installed in hazardous locations and does not require installation in climate-controlled environments, making it perfect for more extreme locations. Its narrow size allows more isolators to fit in cabinets and field enclosures where installation space is a premium, and ideal is ideal for utilizing existing field mounted cabinets.
The NET Concentrator System® (NCS) has a new versatile Multipoint Analog Alarm (–MAA) option that allows users to quickly set up simple or dynamic alarming schemes. The -MAA option utilizes a built-in ISaGRAF program providing a flexible alarm configuration that is accessed via easy to use web pages through the on-board web server. With the -MAA option, the NCS allows users to configure up to 32 alarms. Each alarm can be freely assigned to any of the eight relay outputs on the Relay Output Module (ROM). This enables each relay output to be driven by one input/alarm or multiple inputs/alarms. Each alarm can be configured as high or low with its own deadband setting and can optionally include alarming on any NCS system faults.

The latest addition to the Moore Industries’ FS Functional Safety Series products, it is certified by exida® as a SIL3 capable, non-interfering device for use in a safety loop. The SLD is the perfect solution to accurately and reliably display process status in a safety loop, and features the Loop Maintenance Diode Option which allows it to be removed from the safety loop without affecting the integrity of the safety function.

Our newest addition to the ever-expanding FS Functional Safety Series line is the SIL 3 capable SFY Functional Safety Frequency-to-DC Transmitter with Display. The SFY provides a high level of availability for safety-critical applications and for use as a component part of a safety instrumented system. It monitors the signal, outputting the selected variable (frequency, period, high pulse width, low pulse width or contact closure) both to its display and to a 4-20mA signal that is linear and input-scalable. It features a large integral display that shows real-time process status. The SFY programs in less than a minute to accept varying frequency signals from AC or DC flow measurement devices such as turbine meters and magnetic pick-up coils.
The SPA2IS Programmable Limit Alarm Trips provide on/off control, warn of unwanted process conditions, alarm on rate-of-change and provide emergency shutdown. The newest member of the Moore Industries Limit Alarm Trips and Switches product line, the versatile SPA2IS accepts signal inputs from transmitters and temperature sensors that are located in hazardous areas where the method of protection implemented by the plant or facility is Intrinsic Safety. Normally such installations would require the additional use of an intrinsically-safe barrier. The SPA2IS, however, features built-in intrinsically-safe field connections that provide the necessary protection typically afforded by a galvanically isolated intrinsically-safe barrier.
The SIL 3-capable STZ Functional Safety Smart HART Temperature Transmitter is a dependable and accurate temperature transmitter for use in Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) where dangerous processes occur. Part of the FS Functional Safety Series, the STZ was designed and built from the ground up to ensure conformance with strict IEC 61508:2010 standards for safety-related applications. The STZ offers a dual sensor input that reduces process interruptions. Backup and Fail-Over Protection allows either of the sensors or inputs to be designated as the primary measurement, with the secondary input acting as the backup sensor in case of primary sensor failure.
The THZ3 and TDZ3 mark the next generation of our Smart HART® temperature transmitters. These products have Moore Industries’ industry leading durability and reliability combined with several new features that increase usability and functionality including a new dual sensor input. The dual sensor input allows the THZ3 and TDZ3 to offer backup and fail-over protection, with either of the sensors or inputs designated as the primary measurement and the secondary input acting as a backup sensor in case of a primary sensor failure. The THZ3 and TDZ3 come with Device Intelligence, a series of features for smarter control and monitoring including sensor drift and corrosion detection, smart range alarms with four HART alarms, a High Availability option and input simulation capability allowing manual input of a direct or calculated value.

The newest members of our FS Functional Safety Series, the SSX and SST Safety Isolators and Splitters, provide reliable isolation and signal conversion for HART® data in functionally safe process control settings. They protect safety systems by isolating an SIS from basic process control or monitoring systems so that disconnections or other failures don’t impact the safety system. The two-wire (loop powered) SSX and four-wire (line/mains powered) SST were developed following the strict IEC 61508:2010 standards for safety-related applications and are certified by exida for single use in Safety Instrumented Systems up to SIL 2.
A new member of our FS Functional Safety Series, the exida IEC 61508 SIL 2 certified SRM Safety Relay Module accepts a single contact closure input from a logic solver trip output such as the STA Safety Trip Alarm or SPA2 Programmable Limit Alarm Trip. It provides three contacts per alarm input, allowing the addition of alarm contacts for a safety process without special installation or configuration.

The STA Safety Trip Alarm from Moore Industries has been certified by exida for Safety Instrumented Systems to IEC 61508:2010 for systematic integrity up to SIL 3 and for random integrity up to SIL 2. This means that that the STA is approved for single use in Safety Instrumented Systems up to SIL 2 and in redundant architecture such as 1oo2 and 2oo3 up to SIL 3. Update to NCS NET Concentrator System Increases Flexibility for MODBUS RTU and Ethernet Communications
We’ve updated our NET Concentrator System® (NCS) to provide you with increased options for communications. The process control and distributed I/O network now comes standard with an Ethernet (MODBUS/TCP) port and dual, independent MODBUS RTU (RS-485) ports. One or both of the MODBUS RTU ports can be configured as MODBUS master ports, allowing the NCS to poll other MODBUS RTU slaves with the network polling functions of a typical MODBUS master.
