EHelp Tips: Tank Level Alarming and Pump Shutdown with the SPA2

SPA2 Low Level Q: I use a hydrostatic pressure transmitter for tank level.  Do you have a single unit that can display tank level in custom EGUs, alert of level loss and shutdown feed pumps if level reaches a critical point?

A: Our best solution for displaying and alarming on the 4-20mA level signal from your pressure transmitter is the model SPA2/HLPRG/2PRG/U [DIN] Universal Alarm Trip. The SPA2 accepts the 4-20mA signal, displays it in any custom EGU, and provides two configurable alarms with independent setpoints, alarm delays  and deadband for level alarming and pump shutdown. Each alarm is tied directly to its own single-pole double throw (SPDT) relay rated at 5A, 250VAC. It is approved for use in Class I, Div 2/Zone 2 areas.

The SPA2 is DIN-rail mounted and is powered by either AC or DC voltage. It can also provide loop power to the pressure transmitter if required. If field mounting of the display/alarm is required we can house the SPA2 in a R-BOX Type 4X enclosure or you can look to the the SPD display/alarm as an alternative solution.
