The award will be presented at the 2017 Engineering Awards Manufacturing dinner on Monday, April 3, 2017, at the Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel.

The SPA2IS is a combination alarm trip and temperature transmitter that includes built-in intrinsically-safe field connections for current/voltage, thermocouple, and resistance temperature detectors (RTDs). Besides Intrinsically-Safe Field Connections, the SPA2IS features a universal AC/DC power supply, 20-bit input resolution, Site- and PC-Programmable, a large 5-digit process and status readout, integral isolated power supply for loop powered transmitter inputs, long-term stability with up to 5 years between scheduled calibrations, and isolated and RFI/EMI protection.
