We have some big news to share with you from Moore Industries. We’ve just rolled out an exciting update to our TCS Temperature Concentrator System, making the TCS more efficient and versatile than before.
What's New?
Our latest update introduces the HES HART®-to-Ethernet Gateway System, which now works seamlessly with our 16-channel TCM Temperature Concentrator Modules. This means you can now enjoy Ethernet-based communication with the TCS. The HES comes in single-channel or 4-channel models and can connect with up to two TCMs per channel. In other words, you can have up to eight TCMs communicating with a single HES, allowing for an astonishing 128 temperature signals to be transmitted over an Ethernet link to a MODBUS/TCP-based host.
Why This Matters
This update is a game-changer. You can now monitor temperature readings over your industrial Ethernet backbone with any MODBUS/TCP or HART-IP host with the HES. In addition, you can view or monitor your temperature points with any standard web browser, thanks to the embedded web server in the HES. Plus, the HES can handle communication with up to sixteen HART devices per channel, meaning if you connect two TCMs to a channel, you still have room to connect 14 additional HART devices!
Temperature Monitoring Efficiency
Our TCM Temperature Concentrator Module converts signal inputs to the standard HART protocol, allowing the HES to poll each TCM using a device-specific HART command. This command lets the TCM send all 16 channel values in a single HART message packet, which boosts throughput and response time.
The TCS system is all about reducing costs and increasing efficiency. Whether you’re working in general-purpose settings or hazardous areas, our TCM modules, with their 16 I/O channels, can be configured for various input types and converts them to the HART digital protocol. This means long-distance transmission over Ethernet via the HES is now a breeze.
The TCS Temperature Concentrator System supports a variety of industrial communication protocols: HART, MODBUS RTU, MODBUS/TCP, and HART-IP, ensuring it fits seamlessly with your existing monitoring and control systems. Plus, it’s intrinsically safe approved for use in hazardous areas where many temperature points reside.
