Versatile DIN Rail and Surface Mounting Options are Ideal for Installations in Field-mounted Cabinets or Control Rooms

The popular DIN aluminum housing, FL (Flange) mount adaptor for the surface mounting of hockey puck style transmitters, and DN (DIN) adaptor for hockey puck transmitters, are convenient and practical mounting solutions in field instrument cabinets or control rooms.

DIN

The DIN-style housings snap easily onto 35mm Top Hat (EN50022) DIN rails and often have removable terminal blocks allowing faster wiring and simpler installation. These aluminum housings also act as a heat sync to protect the instrument’s key components and operating life, especially critical when field cabinets or control room cabinets are not fitted with proper ventilation or cooling equipment.

The FL surface mount adaptor enables the hockey puck style housing with display to be surface mount installed directly onto an instrument panel. This is especially useful when there is no DIN rail installed in pre-existing cabinets, you have no access to the backside of a panel or when there isn’t sufficient room to install DIN rail for one instrument.

FL hp

Also available is the DN Snap-in mount for HP hockey puck housings (shown below) and one sized for  HPP, the smaller blind hockey pucks. The snap-in mount is used for placing these units on a 32mm G or 35mm Top-Hat DIN-rail. This is convenient when you need a display for a transmitter inside of a cabinet.  See the datasheets of any hockey-puck instruments for details on the DN Snap-in mount.

Check out our additional housings including the BHSBLHD-BOX, I-BOX, and R-BOX enclosures. Dimensional data for each housing may change due to transmitter type; review individual model datasheet for exact dimensions. Datasheets for the DIN and the FL/HP are available for download.
