Unlock Your Smart Transmitter's Hidden Secrets
The full potential of your smart HART multivariable transmitter has been locked up way too long. Set it free with our HIM HART Interface Module. 24 hours a day, this HART loop monitor reads process and diagnostic signals that ride on your HART transmitter's 4-20mA loop wires.
The HIM connects transparently onto a smart instrument's 4-20mA loop, and using the HART digital data that "rides" on the 4-20mA wires, the HIM provides analog process information and fault diagnostic "health" warnings. The HIM lets you leave trusted (and paid for) smart transmitters in place, yet still take advantage of all of the information they have to offer.

Current-to-Pressure (I/P) Transmitter Resists Clogging
What's the biggest problem when it comes to I/P transmitters? Dirty instrument air causes clogging. With most I/Ps, this means a time-consuming maintenance task. Not with our IPT2. Designed with a larger orifice to protect against clogging, our new model IPT2 DIN-rail-mount transmitter also features a built-in cleaning mechanism that allows you to clear clogs in seconds. Equipped with a front-panel LED that varies in intensity to reflect the strength of the input signal, the compact IPT2 is great for high-density control room applications. The IPT2 joins our industry-standard selection of high-performance, yet affordably priced, field-mount and control-room I/P and P/I pneumatic converters.

10 Great Reasons to Choose Temperature Transmitters Over Direct Wiring
Running temperature sensors directly to your DCS or PLC seems cheaper. But in the long run (especially with long sensor runs), is it really? This just-released technical bulletin details 10 cost-cutting and time-saving reasons for using a temperature transmitter in place of direct wiring to send data between the field and your PLC or DCS. Whether it's to protect signals from RFI/EMI, to enhance accuracy and stability, or to simplify engineering and maintenance, this informative bulletin covers all of the benefits.

Our Commitment to Worldwide Safety Certifications
Few companies are able to match our commitment to worldwide safety certifications. To obtain agency approvals, an instrument must be designed and manufactured to exacting specifications. This takes considerable time, expertise and resources. When combined with the substantial costs required for each regional certification agency to evaluate each instrument, many manufacturers simply can't afford this investment. Or worse, they are not willing to make it. Our instruments hold hundreds of approvals including general location, explosion-proof and intrinsic safety from major worldwide agencies. Detailed certifications for individual products can be found on our Web site.

Remember When the Good Stuff Was Made of Metal?
Today, most toys are made of plastic. Maybe your process instruments shouldn't be. After all...if a toy breaks, there may be a few tears. If a process instrument breaks, it can be a lot more serious...and expensive. That's why we offer a complete line of signal interface instruments protected in rugged, industrial metal housings. We designed them for demanding process and factory automation applications. Yet, in many cases, they cost about the same as the plastic ones you use now. Contact us for the good stuff.

Our Most Popular Interface Instruments Receive Factory Mutual DIV 2 Approvals
For the majority of hazardous (Class 1) locations, the National Electrical Code (NEC) calls for instruments with Division 2 approvals, not Division 1. Often, you're forced by default to use DIV 1 strategies in DIV 2 areas because appropriate DIV 2 instruments and enclosures are hard to find, or simply not available.
Not any more. We've just received Factory Mutual (FM), DIV 2 approvals on our most popular DIN-style and field-mount interface instruments: temperature transmitters, alarm trips, signal isolators and splitters, I/P converters, and P/I converters. We also have a brand new line of instrument enclosures that were designed specifically for DIV 2 locations. They provide just the right level of reliable protection, at a fraction of the cost.
The Bottom Line: COST
Instruments with DIV 2 ratings are almost always much less expensive to install and maintain. Expensive and bulky explosion-proof enclosures that must be used in DIV 1 locations are not required for DIV 2. In addition, DIV 2 installation practices (conduit, wiring, enclosure purging, area declassification, etc.) are not as stringent, so they are far less costly to implement.
Find out how our complete DIV 2 instrument interface solutions are your answer.
