Project Engineer
About the Opportunity: You will manage development of a product from inception (product proposal) to production release via first article. Perform circuit design for the product, including creating requirements, design and test specifications, and overseeing costing and PC board layout. Comply with a documented development process governing project management—eg, planning, scheduling and status updates—and ensure that development activity by all project team members also complies. Collaborate with other project engineers and engineering manager to effect continual improvement of the product development process.

Qualifications: Candidate must have a 4 year degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or equivalent, at least 5 years of work experience including a combination of the following: embedded microprocessor design, analog circuit design (signal conditioning, power supplies), project management, including scheduling and resource tracking, developing cost sensitive commercial products in the 100 to a few 1000 dollars range, direct industry experience—eg, developing smart transmitters utilizing standard communication interfaces (HART, PROFIBUS or FOUNDATION Fieldbus), designing for intrinsic safety. Must be computer literate (facility with Microsoft Office suit, possess excellent communication skills, oral and written, in English, have demonstrated competence working according to a formal development process.
