Boosting Signals With the ECT

Boosting Signals With the ECT
Q: I have an application where we are getting a very weak 4-20mA signal back to the pump control panel. Will using an ECT unit (model ECT/4-20MA/4-20MA/117AC-TX (ECD) help to boost my signal at all?

E-HELP: Splitter Options Depending on Your Power Source
Q: We have been using the ECT-DIN in our applications where we need to split one 4-20mA input to two outputs. The model number for our current units is ECT/4-20MA/2X4-20MA/117AC/DIN. We now need to split a signal to three outputs. Do you have a product that will help us to do this?

E-HELP: No Cabling Restrictions for FM Approvals on SIX
Q: I want to use an SIX Signal Isolator/Converter in a loop with a cable run of 1200’. Are there cable parameter values (i.e. maximum inductance/capacitance) that must be met in order to maintain the FM Non-Incendive certification?

E-HELP: Splitting and Isolating Output Signals to Passive Receivers
Q: I need a 4-wire isolator and want to see if your MIT Multi-Channel Signal Isolator will work in my application. I have several 4-wire transmitters where I need to split and isolate the output signal to receivers that are passive (not powered). Will the MIT work provided that I supply 24Vdc power to the unit?

E-HELP: Monitoring and Alarming on Critical HART Data with the HIM

E-HELP: Monitoring and Alarming on Critical HART Data with the HIM
Q: Is the SPA2 Limit Alarm Trip compatible with HART and can you pass HART through the unit? Our application is a control valve with a loss of signal cutout. We are using the SPA2 for this with position feedback via a Tri-Loop.

A: The SPA2 HLPRG model can be added to an existing HART loop without disrupting the existing HART communications on the loop. However, the optional analog output of the SPA2 will not contain any of the HART digital components so it won’t be useful for connecting to the Tri-Loop.
