The STZ product release offered an award for North American reps who read the release materials and submitted a reading questionnaire to Moore Industries Marketing by November 20.  Two prizes were offered and we received dozens of questionnaires.

STA Aids in Functional Safety Coal Gas Extraction Application Down Under

Moore Industries-Pacific recently sold 221 STA Safety Trip Alarms to be used in a Functional Safety coal gas extraction application in Australia. A Coal Seam Gas exploration company with hundreds of sites in Queensland has production wells with up to 10 inputs controlled locally by Remote Terminal Units (RTUs). The STA will be implemented as part of their independent Protection System with a level alarm on each wellhead separator. Larger volume production wells may need up to four separators per RTU panel.

Universal Power Supply Added to STA
The STA Safety Trip Alarm datasheet and installation manuals have been updated. The new change reflects the addition of a Universal power supply to the unit. Previously, customers needed to select either a 24DC or UAC power supply. The new Universal power supply accepts any power input range between 21.6-375Vdc or 90-260Vac.

Welcome Steve Evans to Moore Industries-Europe
Moore Industries-Europe has a new employee. Steve Evans has recently joined the company as a sales engineer in the UK. He will be assisting Moore Industries with sales in the northern part of England stretching from Manchester and Liverpool up to the border with Scotland. Steve brings a wealth of experience to Moore Industries, with more than 25 years of control and instrumentation experience in various sectors in the UK including process plants, power and water utilities, chemicals and food and beverage.
