THZ3 Now Has Associated Intrinsically-Safe Sensor Connections

The THZ3 Dual Input Smart HART® Temperature Transmitter in DIN Rail Mount housing with the Associated Intrinsically-Safe -AIS option is the newest member of the Moore Industries' Intrinsically Safe family of products.

Reduce your costs in purchasing, installation, and maintenance versus more traditional approaches when using an associated apparatus like the THZ3-DIN with Associated IS sensor connections. The intrinsically-safe -AIS option allows direct connection of sensors located in hazardous areas since it includes an internal intrinsically-safe barrier in the front end of the THZ3. There is no need for the additional cost of the barrier, cabinet space, high integrity clean ground connection, separate power supply, or custom vendor backplane. 

The THZ3-DIN -AIS comes with all the features of the THZ3 including HART 7 compliance, 20-bit resolution, Sensor Drift and Corrosion Detection device intelligence, Smart Range Alarms, High availability option, Input Simulation capability, and it delivers industry-best input-to-output analog accuracy of up to ±0.014°C (±0.025°F). 

HART configurable via any HART handheld configurator or HART compatible host, the THZ3-DIN with the -AIS option allows users to program or monitor with any FDT compliant host or program, such as PACTware, utilizing our DTM.

The reliable universal SPA2IS warns of unwanted process conditions and enables the last line of defense for emergency shutdown situations. It accepts signal inputs from transmitters and temperature sensors that are located in hazardous areas where the method of protection implemented by the plant or facility is intrinsic safety. It includes intrinsically-safe field connections which provide the necessary protection typically afforded by a galvanically isolated intrinsically-safe barrier.
