Moore Industries Awards Cal Poly Pomona Engineering Student a $5,000 Scholarship

Moore Industries opened shop in 1968 starting out as a three-person team making signal conditioners and working out of a garage in California. The company eventually moved into what is still its corporate headquarters in North Hills, CA. Since the company’s inception, the Moore Industries mission has been the same: To keep people, facilities and processes safe while ensuring continuous control and monitoring with the most rugged, reliable and accurate instrumentation.

In doing its part today to ensure that the process control industry continues to progress and provide safe, robust processes, Moore Industries offers one scholarship each year in the amount of $5,000 to an eligible Cal Poly Pomona engineering student with their sights set on entering the industrial automation sector.

In order to be eligible, candidates must be full-time students, meet requirements set by Moore Industries and submit an essay expressing why they have an interest in pursuing a career in industrial automation, instrumentation or the process control industry.

The 2015 scholarship was awarded to Baongoc Nguyen in preparation for last year’s fall semester.

Candidates applying for the 2016 scholarship are currently being reviewed.
