Manager, Software Engineering

Minimum Education
BSEE, BSCS or technical discipline.

Minimum Experience
10 years of experience in software and/or embedded firmware development role in an engineering, manufacturing or production environment. At least five of those years in a management/leadership role.

Provided company-wide direction for all software engineering activities and is responsible for all MII software design and support from product concept to end of life.

Primary Responsibilities
          •  Software design, development and support for all Moore Industries products including embedded firmware, configuration software and
     production calibration and test.
          •  Work with product strategy group on company technology and product roadmap.
          •  Day to day management of software engineering resources to support new, current and legacy products and designs.
          •  Oversee the management and development of software libraries for product firmware and configuration software including system
     architecture, style guides and design documentation.
          •  Manage and develop software tools to support engineering activities including product lifecycle management, configuration management,
     software development and test.
          •  Ensure that software is designed and developed to meet ISO9001 and IEC61508 (functional safety).
          •  Supervise, train and develop software engineers and prepare performance evaluations.
          •  Work with Engineering Director to define engineering goals, policies, procedures and working practices.
          •  Meet and follow MII Corporate Quality Systems.
          •  All other assigned and essential duties as required.

  •  At least five years of product design experience including:
-  Communication interfaces (USB, Ethernet, Serial; HART, Fieldbus or other industrial protocols a plus).
-  Detailed knowledge of the 'C' and 'C++' programming language including use in embedded environments.
-  Experience with assembly language programming and an understanding of how high level languages are compiled into assembly
-  Thorough understanding of object oriented programming concepts.
-  Understanding of RTOS concepts and issues.
-  Configuration management of project artifacts - source code, documentation, test procedures.
-  Familiarity with software analysis tools - UML, static analysis, regression testing.
-  Knowledge of techniques for improving code quality, reliability and conformance to specifications.
  •  Working knowledge and experience with the following OS/tools:

Corporate Marketing Graphic Designer

Minimum Education
Minimum of a bachelor of Art’s degree or related degree in graphic design, digital communications, UI or UX design.

Minimum Experience
3+ years progressive experience working as a graphic designer with a portfolio of work that shows application of design across media and channels, both digital and print. In-depth knowledge and application of Adobe’s Creative Suite/Cloud software including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro or DC, Website CMS applications, and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Moore Industries-Worldwide, Inc. is seeking a passionate, creative, and thoughtful Graphic Designer to join their Corporate Marketing Team.

As the Corporate Marketing Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for executing the creative design, production, and management of corporate graphic design, and presentation content across multiple print and digital communication channels and platforms. Collaborate with the Marketing Team in order to formulate creative approaches to an array of media, including print and digital.

The ideal candidate for this position will have an established portfolio that demonstrates range of capabilities and a distinctive and polished style. Must have a track record of developing and executing creative campaigns that have driven brand and sales growth across a range of media. The position requires a strong teamwork ethic with a passion for creative and self-starting initiative and a high attention to detail. The Graphic Designer is responsible for day-to-day creative execution, contributing to the company’s integrated marketing delivery capabilities with a heavy emphasis on print, digital, and interactive. The Graphic Designer will have experience developing/delivering integrated communications programs.. Success in the role hinges on the ability to work as an effective and collaborative team member and ability to develop and implement high-impact projects and campaigns. Success is measured by project creativity, quality and timeliness, combined with marketing campaign success and effectiveness in the sales network.

The ideal candidate will have experience in B2B, with experience in the process industry or process instrumentation a plus. The individual should be able to work well with engineers who are developing highly technical products, and energized by technology and creativity with meticulous attention to detail, able to work nimbly within a small team, capable of managing a large workload, and motivated to take ownership of the creative process.

Primary Responsibilities
          •  Serves as the design team member for multiple projects across all product lines and for all sales regions, coordinating with internal and
     external resources.
          •  Participate in and/or lead the creative process for projects from conception to completion (white-boarding, developing concepts, wireframes,
     reviews, feedback and final draft) with the marketing team members.
          •  Supports visual design development throughout the entire creative lifecycle, from initial explorations through final design deliverables.
          •  Produces deliverables that may include, but are not limited to: Advertising Campaign Concepts (print, digital, experiential), Collateral and
     Print Ads, Newsletters, Website Designs and Mock-ups, Online Ads, Infographics, Posters, Social Media Ads, and Email Marketing
     Templates, Landing Pages, Software Graphics, Event Graphics and Props including Demo Equipment Displays, Video Storyboards,
     Animated Displays and Presentations.
          •  Proactively manages details throughout projects, ensuring that all action-items are accomplished on a timely and accurate basis.
          •  Able to proofread their own and other’s work for grammar and spelling accuracy.
          •  Website management including design, content generation and basic coding for www.miinet.com and its sub-domains, FTP Sites; making
     regular HTML and graphic updates to internet site, and update PDF files.
          •  Maintain consistent and compliant presentation.
  •  Detail and deadline-oriented.
  •  Eager to implement visual strategies to inspire, interest and persuade engineers and techs.
  •  Collaborates with Content Writers on blending copy with designs.
  •  Thorough understanding of the production process in order to prepare final print art files for printing, and meet print ad spec requirements
     including setting up files with proper bleed, trim and live area measurements per individual publication requirements.
  •  Ensures that all design projects are implemented on time and on budget.
  •  Shoot product and activity photos, or direct external photographer.
  •  Will assist with and/or delegate day to day sales and marketing support activities as needed.
